Robert Gray Sr. Obituary (2001 - 2021)

Robert "Bob" Gray (82) passed away June 9, 2021, in Indianola, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Carlisle United Methodist Church. A visitation will begin at 10:00am prior to the service. There will be a private family burial. Bob was born and raised in Southwest Iowa and farmed during his teenage years. Throughout his career he worked in the lumber industry and was a manager of several lumber companies in Southwest Iowa and the Des Moines area. Bob is always remembered by family members as having funny one-liners, a quick wit and contagious smile. In his younger days, he liked playing softball and golf with his family and friends. Most recently, he loved being outside, doing yard work. Those who know Bob, would recognize him in town usually wearing his beloved John Deere jacket. He was preceded in death by his wife and oldest son. He is survived by his youngest son, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way.
