Ray Oxenford Obituary (1933 - 2013)

Donald Ray Oxenford passed away at Madrid Home on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Donald was born on July 26, 1933 in Lake City, Iowa to Vivian and Leo Oxenford. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 am. at the First Baptist Church in Indianola with burial to follow in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Lake City, Iowa. Visitation with family will be from 5-7 pm. Thursday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Don was a Union Carpenter for many years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Indianola, Isaak Walton League, NRA and the Jasper County Gun Club. Don is survived by his daughter Patricia Oxenford of Indianola; Brother Richard Oxenford of Des Moines; Stepson Robert Chandler of Colorado and 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Daniel, 2 sisters Patricia and Kathryn. Memorials may be directed to the American Alzheimers Association www.alzfdn.org/.
