Lenny R. Brandt, age 47, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away July 26, 2018 at home. Lenny was born on December 28, 1970 to Richard Brandt and Sandy Phillips-Abel. Lenny grew up and attended school in Carlisle, Iowa. Lenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, and being around to help his friends when they needed him. Lenny is survived by his father, Richard (Peggy) Brandt of Altoona; mother, Sandy (Roger)Abel of Carlisle; siblings, Lance (Jackie) Brandt, Megan (Jeremy) Misner, Clint (Julie) Abel and Cody (April) Abel. Lenny was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Maxine Brandt, Marion and Maxine Phillips, and Leonard and Vera Abel.
