Leila Fern Miller Obituary (1931 - 2018)

Leila Fern Miller, 86, of Indianola (formerly of Carlisle) went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2018 at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona. She was born December 28, 1931 in Nebraska to C. Dayle and Clara Huffaker. Funeral services for Leila will be held at 11:00 am, Monday September 24, 2018 at Rising Sun Church in Pleasant Hill. A visitation will be held at 9:30 am prior to the service at the church. Leila married Kenny Miller on August 12, 1950. She loved gardening and flowers. She also had a love for birds. Leila loved to travel with Kenny until his passing. Her favorite way to spend her time was with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Leila is survived by her children; Gary (Julie) of Indianola, Rusty (Donna) of Carlisle, Bob (Tami) of Indianola, Jim (Jennifer) of Carlisle, and Don (Kari) of Carlisle. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Leila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenny, son Rick, brothers; Eddy, Dayle, and Melvin; sister Lois, and great-granddaughter Miriam Faith Joyce.
