D. Smith Obituary (2013) - Indianola, Iowa

Mr. Mike D. Smith, age 60, passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Born in Long Beach, California he had lived in the Des Moines area since 1999. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served nine years. Mike worked as a car lot porter for KIA of Des Moines. Surviving are his children; Josh (Tracie) Smith of Polk City, Jeri Smith of Des Moines and Janell Smith of Grimes; two granddaughters, Kira Smith and Baylee Smith; Older sister Pat Moore of Hesperia, California; special friend Ken Loyd; many nieces and nephews. A visitation with family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 E.
